Supernatural

I'm sure many people are familiar with the moderately popular T.V. show Supernatural. I am a huge fan. Or was, at least. I love it, but the producers just went a bit to far with the current season.
Supernatural is a T.V. series about two dysfunctional brothers that originally go off hunting demons and other various supernatural creatures. Hence the title "Supernatural". This was great for the first few seasons. Then the producers decided to take it one step further and add in angels. And God. At first I was like "Oh, nice change of pace, this might not be too bad." Then they added in the apocalypse and how God just turned his back on humanity and supposedly doesn't even care anymore. The shows supposed to be mainstream, not support any one religion, but I mean they took it a tad too far there. And if that wasn't enough, the producers HAD to add in a new season when it was so obvious the show should end after the apocalypse. Am I right?
The new season takes place a few months after the apocalypse is over. One of the brothers is living his dream life while the other brother supposedly died after throwing himself into hell while possessed by the devil. But I mean you can ALWAYS add on to that. Anyways, Sam (the brother that threw himself into hell) saves Dean (the brother that's living his dream life) from some supernatural creature and they are reunited and start catching up. Little does Dean know, his little bro lost his soul down under. Whoa, didn't see that one coming did you? And this whole season they go looking around trying to get his soul back. Then Sam becomes wishy washy  on whether he even wants it back; having no soul makes it where he has no judgement and is therefore much better at hunting supernatural creatures. Like always, Dean throws a big fit and they get in an argument.
Am I the only one thinking this season is a bit much? I mean it seems like the producers know the series is over, yet they just want to get as much money as they can out of it. Don't get me wrong, I love Supernatural, but I'm just a bit disappointed...

  2. Dang bro. You really took your time out on this one. I haven't watched it yet but from the sounds of it I should. I'm guessing you want me to start from season 1 since you believe the show's "jumped the shark"
